How do international teacher-scholars define undergraduate research and inquiry? We asked participants in the Center’s research seminar on Excellence in Mentoring Undergraduate Research to share their definitions:

Many of our seminar scholars begin with the Council on Undergraduate Research definition:

“An inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate student that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline.”

Here are a few of the ways we see them expanding on this definition:
