The Facilitating Integration and Reflection of the Elon Experiences (FIRE2) Toolkit is intended to foster students’ self-reflection and mentoring conversations with peers, staff, and faculty in order to deepen students’ Elon Experiences.

Every Elon University undergraduate student is required to complete two units of experiential learning. Students may complete this requirement with approved global engagement (study abroad or Study USA), internships, leadership, research, or service (community-based learning). Students often complete additional Elon Experiences, and they can document their participation on their Elon Experiences Transcript (see  https://www.elon.edu/u/elon-experiences-transcript/).

Students: We encourage you to use these questions to guide your reflection on and discussion with others about which Elon Experiences are the best match for you. You also can use them to talk with peers about their plans for their future ELRs and their experiences with ELRs they’ve already completed.

Want to write responses to one or more questions so that you can revisit your reflections later? Open this Google Doc and make a copy (File –> Make a Copy) to save an editable version to your Google Drive.

Staff and Faculty: We invite you to pick a few questions to use in conversation with your advisees, student workers, and other students with whom you interact to help them reflect on their Elon Experiences and how they integrate with other parts of their Elon education and their goals.
