The 2022-2024 Center for Engaged Learning research seminar will be led by CJ Fleming and Judene Pretti.

CJ Eubanks Fleming is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Elon University, where she serves the Faculty Fellow for Internships in the College of Arts and Sciences. In this role she evaluates department- and university-level data regarding internship outcomes, shares internship best practices with faculty, and serves as a liaison between faculty/ students and the university’s career center.

Judene Pretti is Director of Business Services for Co-operative and Experiential Education at the University of Waterloo. She has been an active WIL researcher for the past 10 years, most recently investigating the intersection between trends predicted for the future of work and work-integrated learning as an educational model. She is a senior advisor to University of Waterloo’s Work-Learn Institute, president-elect of Cooperative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Canada (CEWIL Canada), past executive chair for the International Research Community of the World Association of Co-operative and Work-Integrated Education (WACE), and an associate editor for the International Journal of Work-Integrated Learning.
