Jessie and Nolan speak with Blake Colclasure and Tyler Granberry about their experiences teaching and studying multi-semester capstone research programs. They’re the authors of a recent Teaching & Learning Inquiry article, “Challenges and Supports Experienced by Students Completing a Multi-Semester Capstone Undergraduate Research Experience: Reflections from Program Graduates.” The two provide valuable recommendations about how to run an engaging undergraduate program.

Meet Our Guests

Blake C. Colclasure is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Herbert College of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. His work focuses on teaching methods and evaluation strategies for formal agricultural and environmental education programs. 

Tyler Granberry is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Education in the Herbert College of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His focus area is teacher preparation and experiential learning in school-based agricultural education.
