As part of the Elon Core Curriculum, students must complete 2 units of Elon Experiences to satisfy the Experiential Learning Requirement. Telling Your Elon Story Senior seminar faculty and National and International Fellowships Office staff have used both the FIRE Toolkit and the Elon Experiences Transcript to help students reflect on how they’re integrating stories about their Elon Experiences into application materials for jobs, graduate school, and fellowship programs. From the Across the Experiences: Post-Experience questions, ask seniors: How did your Elon Experience(s) challenge you to learn and grow? Then follow-up with a post-experience question specific to their Elon Experience. For example, if the student participated in study away, you might ask the following Global Experience: Post-Experience questions: What did you learn – about yourself, your host country, or your field of study – during your study away? What cultural differences did you encounter during your study away experience, and what did those differences help you understand about your own attitudes, beliefs, and values? What skills did you develop or strengthen as a result of your study away experience?
