The webinar series features the collection editors and several chapter authors. Join us on the following dates to hear brief reflections from the authors and to participate in conversation and Q&A with these featured guests: June 4, 11:00 AM Eastern – Featuring collection editors Amanda Sturgill, Nina Namaste, Neal Sobania, and Michael (Mick) Vande Berg, and focusing on the goals of the collection, their preface and introduction, and Part 1: Intent and Evidence in Designing Effective Global Learning Practices. (Excerpt shared below) June 11, 11:00 AM Eastern – Featuring Amanda Sturgill, focusing on her chapter “Crossing Borders at Home: The Promise of Global Learning Close to Campus,” and inviting additional discussion on chapters 3-6.June 18, 11:00 AM Eastern – Featuring Andrea Paras and Lynne A. Mitchell, focusing on “Up for the Challenge? The Role of Disorientation and Dissonance in Intercultural Learning,” and Ekaterina (Katia) Levintova and Laura Boudon, focusing on “Have Interest, Will Not Travel: Unexpected Reasons Why Students Opt Out of International Study,” and inviting additional discussion on chapters 7-9.June 25, 11:00 AM Eastern – Featuring Prudence Layne and Sarah Glasco, focusing on “#FacultyMatter: Faculty Support and Interventions Integrated into Global Learning,” and inviting additional discussion on the collection’s remaining chapters.
